Fees

Anyone is able to book an appointment with Dr Stirling, with or without a referral.

The fee for services with Dr Stirling is $260 per hour (face to face or telehealth therapy sessions and supervision). This is below the recommended Australian Psychological Society fee ($311/hour).

Medicare rebates

With a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you can claim a rebate of $141.85 for 10 sessions each calendar year.

With an Eating Disoder Management Plan from your GP, you can claim $141.85 for up to 40 sessions each calendar year.

With a valid Chronic Disease Management Plan you receive a rebate of $60.35 for a maximum of 5 sessions per calendar year.

Other fee information

Bulk billing/Third party funding

Unfortunately, this practice does not offer bulk billing and is unable to process claims for third party funding. We can issue clients with an invoice so they can claim directly with their third party funding organisation.

Private health insurance

If you have private health insurance, you may also qualify for a rebate through your fund. Please speak with your private health fund directly to determine your eligibility. Please note that you cannot claim both Medicare and Private Health rebates for the same session. Private health insurance rebates will need to be claimed directly with your insurer.

Late cancellation fees

Due to the high demand in psychological services, we do respectfully ask for 48 hours notice of a cancellation. If less than 48 hours but more than 24 hours is provided, then 50% of the full fee will be charged. If less than 24 hours notice is provided then the full fee will be charged. Please note that Medicare and private health rebates cannot be applied to cancellation fees.
